Thomas Elbert offers a wealth of research experience in psychophysiology, psychotraumatology, and brain imaging to Posit Science. Based on methodological studies, investigations on the self-regulation of the brain, and research in cortical organization, plasticity, and their relation to behavior and psychopathology, new treatment approaches for aphasia, tinnitus, and focal dystonia have been developed in Dr. Elbert’s laboratory. Dr. Elbert is a member of the International Neuropsychological Symposium and the German Academy of Science, and he is the President of vivo Italy. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Tübingen, Germany.
