Stephen Lisberger, Ph.D.

Professor, Department of Physiology, University of California at San Francisco
Investigator, Howard Hughes Medical Institute
Director, W.M. Keck Foundation Center for Integrative Neuroscience, University of California at San Francisco
Co-Director, Sloan Center for Theoretical Neurobiology

Stephen Lisberger is a world authority on motor control systems. His research group has used the plasticity of eye movements as their primary model system. His research entails quantitative assessment of motor performance, extracellular recording from single brain cells during eye movement, and computational analyses of models that are based on biological observations. At Posit Science, he has been a primary advisor on the designs of visual, posture and balance and sensory-guided motor control training modules. Dr. Lisberger has a Ph.D. from the University of Washington.
