Steven Aldrich
President and CEO
Jeff ZimmanSteven Aldrich is President and CEO of Posit Science, joining the company from Intuit where he created significant growth over 13 years in many roles. Most recently he was VP of Strategy and Innovation of the small business division where he accelerated growth by solving important customer problems through partnerships and acquisitions. He guided the QuickBooks Industry Solutions and QuickBooks Point of Sale teams to several successive years of significant employee engagement increases, customer experience improvements, and revenue growth. Steven was President of Quicken Insurance, a business he co-founded and sold to Intuit. He has worked in the investment banking division of Alex. Brown & Sons and for McKinsey & Company, completed his MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and he holds an AB in Physics from the University of North Carolina. Steven is an avid supporter of the arts, President of the Board of the Bay Area Glass Institute (www.BAGI.org) and enjoys spending time with his wife Allison and their son, Jackson.

Jeffrey Zimman
Chairman
Jeff ZimmanJeff Zimman is the co-founder and Chairman of Posit Science, the leading provider of clinically validated brain fitness software. As reported in more than 30 peer-reviewed articles in leading medical and science journals, the company's patented technologies significantly increase brain processing speed, improve memory and attention, and enhance the quality of everyday life. From 2003 to 2008, Jeff served as President and CEO; he now focuses his efforts on strategic relationships and corporate development. For the past two decades, Jeff has been involved with healthcare, information technology, and consumer products companies in implementing strategies leading to successful funding, high growth, and liquidity. Jeff is a former Venture Partner of VSP Capital, a former Managing Director of Lazard, where he founded and ran the investment bank's early stage advisory business, and a former partner of Cooley Godward, where he headed the corporate and securities practice in the law firm's San Francisco office. In addition to running these high-growth service businesses, he has served on the boards of several start-up companies. Earlier in his career, Jeff was an award-winning newspaper reporter, covering business and technology. He earned his AB degree at Bowdoin College and his JD and MBA degrees at Stanford University.

Michael M. Merzenich, PhD
Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Michael MerzenichAs co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Posit Science, Michael Merzenich heads the company’s global team. For more than three decades, Dr. Merzenich has been a leading pioneer in brain plasticity research. In the late 1980s, Dr. Merzenich was on the team that invented the cochlear implant, now distributed by market leader Advanced Bionics. In 1996, Dr. Merzenich was the founding CEO of Scientific Learning Corporation (Nasdaq: SCIL), which markets and distributes software that applies principles of brain plasticity to assist children with language learning and reading. Dr. Merzenich has published more than 200 articles, including many in leading peer-reviewed journals (such as Science and Nature), received numerous awards and prizes (including the Ipsen Prize, Zülch Prize, Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award and Purkinje Medal), and been granted more than 50 patents for his work.. Dr. Merzenich’s is also often covered in the popular press, including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Time, Forbes, and Newsweek. He has also appeared extensively on television, and his work was featured on the PBS specials “The Brain Fitness Program” and “Brain Fitness 2: Sight and Sound.” Dr. Merzenich earned his BS degree at the University of Portland and his PhD at Johns Hopkins. He retired from his long career as Francis A. Sooy Professor and Co-Director of the Keck Center for Integrative Neuroscience at the University of California at San Francisco in 2007. Eric Mann
Vice President, Marketing
Eric MannEric joined Posit Science with 20 years of experience in marketing, sales and business development in the software, Internet and high tech industries. Prior to joining Posit Science, Eric held senior marketing, business development and product positions at companies including: Netscape/AOL, Lotus Development Corporation Broadband Office, Talkway Communications and Pramati Technologies. He specializes in finding market opportunities through partnerships and by developing innovative marketing programs. Eric launched his career at Inc. Magazine where he was responsible for identifying new markets for technology programs. He has a BA in English from Brandeis University.

Henry Mahncke, PhD
Vice President, Research & Outcomes
Dr. Henry MahnckeDr. Mahncke leads the Research & Outcomes team, designing scientific research and implementing outcomes trials to advance the company's product development. Dr. Mahncke did his graduate work and earned his doctorate in neuroscience in Dr. Merzenich's lab at UCSF. He then worked as an Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company. While at McKinsey, Dr. Mahncke worked with leading global healthcare and consumer products companies in devising market strategies. Dr. Mahncke has also served in the consulate of the British government as a Science and Technology consultant. He holds a BA from Rice University and a PhD from UCSF.

Jon Zimman
Vice President, Business Affairs
Jon ZimmanJon Zimman has over 25 years of experience in finance, operations and product management in the high-tech, publishing and communications industries. In recent years, Jon has been a consultant for a number of start-up and high-growth companies and served as the CFO (either full-time or on an interim basis) for several of them. Among these companies are: SiteRock, a managed-services provider which is now part of NaviSite; MandrakeSoft (now Mandriva), a leading Linux software developer based in France; Vivid Studios, a pioneering web architecture and design firm; and Total Entertainment Network (TEN), a game community site subsequently renamed Pogo and sold to Electronic Arts. Earlier in his career, Jon served in a variety of financial and product management positions with ABC, Warner Communications and Western Union. He earned his BA degree at the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA at Harvard University.

David Hoffman
Vice President, Product Development
David HoffmanDavid Hoffman has over 25 years of experience in creating and managing successful software businesses. Most recently, David served as VP Engineering of Pivia, a web acceleration company that was acquired by F5 Networks in 2005. David's significant entrepreneurial experience comes from building companies that were acquired by Fortune 500 companies such as Tektronix, Computer Associates and Cendent. Prior to focusing on start-ups, David held engineering and management positions at Disney and Hewlett-Packard. David holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Colorado.

Marsha Raulston
Vice President of People
Marsha RaulstonMarsha Raulston heads up the People team at Posit Science, including Human Resources and Customer Delight. Ms. Raulston first came to Posit Science from Westgate Consulting, a full-service human resources and customer service consulting firm that she founded in 2000. Prior to that, Ms. Raulston served as Vice President of Human Resources and Customer Satisfaction at OneWorld Systems, worked as Vice President of Customer Service at Intuit, and spent over 20 years in customer service management and human resources at American Airlines and Citicorp. Ms. Raulston holds a BS in psychology from Stephen's College and a MA in sociology from the University of Nottingham, England.
