Spreading the Neuroplasticity Word to Toronto

By on August 9, 2010

I’m heading to Toronto this morning to visit with Dr. Norman Doidge, Dr. Sean Rourke, local media and (potentially) you.  It’s important for Posit and our community to continue to spread the word about the power of neuroplasticity and this trip is part of our outreach efforts.  I was in Tampa, Florida, a few months ago and had a great time explaining the brain’s ability to change and how Posit Science is tapping into this ability.

Canada has a strong advocate of neuroplasticity in Dr. Doidge and his book the Brain that Changes Itself is a bestseller around the world.  Dr. Rourke is driving research into the impact of HIV/AIDS on cognition and recently was the host of a webinar with two of patients.

I am planning on hosting a meet-up in Toronto on Tuesday or Wednesday so if you are in the area and are interested in asking me questions and having a chance to take home a copy of our software, please post a comment.

I am a big advocate of the work you do at Posit Science. After losing hearing in my left ear and dealing with vestibular issues from the treatment of an acoustic neuroma, I was on the hunt to find resources to get me back on track.

Dr. Doidge’s book was recommended to me. Wonderful book. It was by reading this book that I discovered Posit Science. After a bit of research I decided to purchase two of your products – Brain Fitness and Insight. So glad I did.

It would be great opportunity to meet with you in TO and have some of my questions answered. Please count me in.

The team appreciates the praise … that’s great news that you can meet as well. I’ll send you an email to work out the details and we’ll see if others respond as well.

    Thanks,
    Steven

The best chance is to go through the VA and try to get a service connection for any injuries you may have obtained during your service. Hearing loss included. Best of luck.
