It is not only possible to learn a new language well in your 50s - you're encouraged to. Learning a new language may slow down the aging process of your brain.

I grew up speaking two languages. Then I moved to a new country (Singapore) and in Singapore, the education system has a bilingual policy - so I have to learn 2 new languages in my primary school.

Now I meet the love of my life - but her family speaks a language I can't understand. So I'm learning my fifth language.

We develop online tools for teaching English as a second language.

Is anyone aware of applications of plasticity in the learning of a second language. I think there are a lot of potential benefits for our learners in speaking and processing a foreign language.

I´m a spanish girl, teaching english as a second language.I like the text, in fact,I´m looking for some material to enhance my english classes...and try to help my students learn a second language easily. If I´m aware of how the mind works, I will be able to succeed in my class...
