The Ultimate D.I.Y. Project
I’m becoming a do-it-yourself (D.I.Y.) fan. I make my own limoncello and bacon, keep a small flock of chickens, and do some gardening. I’ve done bookbinding, have recently taken a letterpress printing class, and am now on the hunt for my own small press.
If you’re wondering what this has to do with our brain blog, I’ll be happy to share. I’m thinking that brain training is the ultimate D.I.Y. activity. You really can make a difference in the quality of your life by keeping your brain fit. And only you can do it. You can’t find it in a pill or outsource it. It comes down to making the commitment to systematically push your brain to function better and faster. The amazing thing is that your brain will respond and you will notice. It is within your power to take control of a critical part of your body make it better . . . that sure sounds like the ultimate D.I.Y. project to me.
