The Best Gift You Can Give
The holidays are rapidly approaching, and if you’re like me, you may still be struggling with deciding what ‘perfect gift’ you should give your mate or aunt or sister that could really mean something for them. In the Land of Plenty, it is sometimes hard to determine what those individuals that we love can really benefit from, and may really need.
I suggest that you consider giving them both a Christmas or Hanukkah gift AND a New Year’s resolution, all at the same time: the gift of a stronger and brighter future. That’s what you’re doing, of course, if you give them one of the Brain Fitness Programs that we’ve created to help restore and sustain your brain fitness at Posit Science. It is sometimes frustrating for me to meet individuals who could so obviously benefit from these brain science-based exercises who never quite get around to using them – even while it has the potential for substantially improving the quality of these lives. “Oh sure”, you say. “Everyone is telling me that they have the solution for my lousy memory! Why should I take YOU seriously?”
You should take us seriously because we have actually conducted scientific studies that unequivocally show that most people DO very substantially wake up their brains and improve their memories and very significantly improve the quality of their lives if they spend a little time each day working at these exercises. It’s SCIENCE we’re talking about!
If you’re a little worried about how your brother or wife might react to receiving a present that carries the implication that they’re slipping a little in their spirits or self-confidence or memory, why not buy the version of the BFP or InSight that supports BOTH of you having a stronger 2010?! By ‘fessing up that you may be slipping a little too, you can commiserate with the target of your gift before getting right down to work improving the both of you!
Unfortunately, I can’t use this gift option myself because I have given it to ALL of my (and my wife’s) brothers, sisters, and in-laws and to most of our older friends, and to my own most special person in life, my wife Diane – because there is no better gift I COULD give them. What greater gift IS there than a personally stronger, livelier and more capable life, going forward, over the next months and years. So if you’re feeling especially kindly this holiday season… give the gift of brain fitness.

Dear Dr. Merzenich,
I am hoping you can help me or direct me to someone who understands Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and Brain Fitness. My sister suffers from MCS and would like some information to see how brain fitness and PS products can be helpful. Also is there anyone you may be aware of in the Florida area who works with Brain Fitness? Thank you so very much. I just ordered the PS brain fitness program for myself!

My first attempt to blog and I have been unable to find Dr Jeffery M. Schwartz. He quotes you widely in his book Mind and the Brain and I would be much obliged if you could help me put a question to him.
